About Resource Therapy Training Australia

Tracy Lynch currently holds and supports this community space. Many of the therapists and trainers here have trained with or been supervised by Tracy. The intention is for this space to grow through the voices, experience and values of like-minded therapists and trainers. If you are a therapist or trainer who would like to be part of our community, please reach out to Tracy Lynch here.

Resource Therapy Training Australia (RTTA) is an independent community of like-minded Clinical Resource Therapists and Resource Therapy trainers who share a commitment to trauma-informed, values-led and equality-focused practice and training.

RTTA is not an association. We are a community of like-minded, accredited trainers and therapists, held together by a shared commitment to transparency, values-led action and equality. We acknowledge Resource Therapy’s history openly, and we look ahead with care to how we can contribute to its evolution: through shared learning, a decolonising approach to training and therapy, and practice that stays true to our values.

You can read our transparency statement as a community here.

Our three pillars

Trauma-informed. Values-led. Equality-focused.

These values shape how we share knowledge, support training, connect clients with practitioners and encourage responsible, reflective professional practice.

Trauma-informed care

Safety, choice, collaboration and respect for each person's lived experience, identity and culture.

Values-led practice

Client wellbeing, professional responsibility, clinical competence, supervision and accountability.

Equality-focused practice

Equal dignity, inclusion and accessibility, alongside clear information about training, professional roles and Resource Therapy's history and matters relevant to making an informed choice.

Contemporary learning

Respect for the origins of Resource Therapy alongside openness to emerging clinical knowledge, cross-disciplinary dialogue and thoughtful development of practice.

Our approach to Resource Therapy's history

Acknowledging the history. Centring the work.

Resource Therapy has a history and a founder. We acknowledge that history openly. At RTTA, our focus is on the therapeutic approach, the wellbeing of clients, the integrity of professional practice, and the people who learn, teach and use Resource Therapy today.

We believe a therapeutic approach can be discussed, evaluated, taught and developed through responsible clinical practice without centring any one individual. Being transparent about the history of the model is part of giving clients and prospective students the information they need to make their own decisions.

An important distinction

A community, not an association.

RTTA is not a professional association, governing body or accreditation authority. We are an independent community and information platform for clinicians and educators who share our values. Our directories bring together participating Resource Therapy trainers and therapists who share our commitment to trauma-informed, values-led and equality-focused practice. Our community welcomes appropriately qualified Resource Therapy trainers and therapists who share these values, whatever their training background.

Resource Therapy International (RTI) is the international professional association for Resource Therapy. For information about RTI membership, its training standards and formal recognition, please visit the RTI website ↗.

A listing in the RTTA directory identifies a participating practitioner and describes their relevant training, professional background and services. It does not, by itself, indicate professional registration, accreditation, endorsement or an assessment of clinical suitability. Please confirm any practitioner's qualifications and registration independently.

The person who established RTTA

Meet Tracy Lynch

Tracy is a Wiradjuri woman, Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist, EMDR Consultant and Senior Resource Therapy Trainer and Supervisor. She established RTTA to support education, connection and visibility for the broader Resource Therapy community.

RTTA welcomes the contributions of other trainers and clinicians who share its values. Tracy holds the space as its founder, while participating alongside other community members rather than sitting above them.
